The Foodieess celebrates the snacks that make India's streets so delicious — and shows how to recreate them at home.
Why street food?
Street food is where many people first fall in love with Indian flavours: a paper cone of bhel by the sea, steaming momos on a cold evening, a vada pav grabbed between trains. These dishes are bold, inexpensive and made to be shared, which makes them perfect for home cooking and for feeding friends.
What we publish
- Dish recipes written for home kitchens, each with the story of where it comes from and notes for serving a crowd.
- A spice and chutney guide covering the building blocks of chaat.
- Party menu guides with quantities, timelines and food safety for gatherings.
- Free menu requests — readers can ask us for a suggested street-food menu for their event.
How we write
We describe each dish honestly, including where our home version differs from what you'd find on the street. We list allergens and food safety points clearly and never make health claims. Read our content principles.
